Tiger Cubs fall to Rox 5-4

ROCKVILLE -- The Greencastle High School junior varsity baseball team dropped a close game to the Rockville Rox on Friday, 5-4.

After trailing 3-0 in the first two innings, Greencastle came to life at the plate; scoring four runs for the lead. But Rockville came back and scored the go ahead run in the fifth.

Leading the offensive attack for the Tiger Cubs was Andy Bell who went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Hunter Mitchell started on the mound for Greencastle, giving up three runs on four hits, before being relieved by Ryan Battin. Battin took the loss, allowing two runs on three hits.

Greencastle will be back in action on Thursday when they take on South Vermillion on the road.
