Putnam County Jail

Oscar Daniel, 45, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 7:44 p.m. Friday for possession of a controlled substance and marijuana.

Charles Schroyer, 38, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:15 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.

Michael Oldham, 19, Cloverdale, was booked at 1:53 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Matthew Jutzi, 24, Palos Park, Ill., was booked at 2:55 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Tracy Trivett, 26, Terre Haute, was booked at 8:54 p.m. Saturday for possession of a controlled substance and theft.

Ronny Hopper, 48, Brison, Texas, was booked at 12:10 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Matthew Thomas, 28, Greencastle, was booked at 12:53 a.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana, a controlled substance and an unlicensed handgun.

Gary Stokes, 34, Greencastle, was booked at 2:21 a.m. Sunday for violation terms of home detention.

Robert Peine, 66, Farmington, Mo., was booked at 3:23 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating per se.

Brandon Bottorff, 24, Washington, was booked at 4:15 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Kyle Dunham, 21, Terre Haute, was booked at 4:30 a.m. for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level .15 or more.

James Webb, 25, Tampa, Fla., was booked at 6:10 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Agate Barnett, 43, Indianapolis, was booked at 4:04 a.m. Monday for receiving stolen property and theft.

David McGuire, 42, Indianapolis, was booked at 12:41 p.m. Monday for auto theft, theft and being a habitual offender.

Patrick Zaborski, 38, Greencastle, was booked at 2:02 p.m. Monday for battery.

Patrick Nevels, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 5:20 p.m. Monday for theft.

Anjali Cohen, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 11:51 p.m. Monday for domestic battery.

Brandon Chambers, 26, Greencastle, was booked at 12:12 a.m. Tuesday for disorderly conduct and domestic battery.

Joseph Fish, 59, Greencastle, was booked at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Carl Alexander, 49, Indianapolis, was booked at 1:03 p.m. Tuesday for failure to appear.

Sheriff's Dept.

Gordon Kingma, Lafayette, was backing up his vehicle with one foot on the accelerator and one on the brake. Kingma stated he was trying to avoid a truck parked close to his vehicle, when he backed into both vehicles across the street. The accident occurred at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday on Franklin Street.

Bruce W. Schlehuser reported someone backed into or drove down the entire driver's side of his 2001 BMW causing extensive damage to his vehicle. The report was made at 6:16 p.m. Wednesday at 8833 S. SR 243.

Stephen Moore, Carbon, was traveling north on CR 400W at 4:52 a.m. Friday when a pony ran into the roadway and struck the front of his vehicle. Seniours Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Vicki O'Hair, Greencastle, was traveling south on U.S. 231 at 6:15 a.m. Friday when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid hitting the animal.

Patricia Coffman, Roachdale, was traveling north on CR 100E at 10:15 a.m. Saturday when a southbound vehicle crested a hill left of center. Coffman swerved to avoid a collision, but struck a mailbox with the left side mirror of her vehicle. The impact caused the passenger-side window to shatter.

Emily Gaston, Greencastle, was traveling east on SR 240 at 10:04 p.m. Saturday when she looked away from the roadway. Her vehicle left the road and traveled 570 feet through a drainage ditch. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Casey Finley, Indianapolis, was traveling west on SR 240 at 10:35 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle went left of center and struck a flatbed tow truck traveling east. Operation Life Medic Three transported Finley to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Operation Life transported driver of tow truck, Terry Eaglin Sr., of Brazil, and his passenger, James Smith, Brazil, to Putnam County Hospital. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Finley's vehicle from the scene. Griffin Auto Salvage towed Eaglin's truck from the scene.

Dawn Barger, Brazil, was traveling on CR 100 S at 1:19 p.m. Sunday when her vehicle lost traction and began to slide. Her vehicle left the road and struck a fence on the north side of the road. Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Julie Knight, Center Point, was waiting to make a left turn into the gas station at the corner of U.S. 231 and U.S. 40 at 3:54 p.m. Monday when the back of her vehicle was struck. Driver of the second vehicle Brent Masten, Greencastle, was traveling north and did not see Knight's vehicle was stopped.

Nita Hackleman, Bainbridge, was making a left turn onto CR 675 N from U.S. 36 at 11:10 a.m. Monday when she noticed a deer in the woods. Her vehicle then left the roadway. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene.

Greencastle Fire Dept.

Crews were dispatched to 303 S. Locust St., at 3:21 a.m. Saturday for a structure fire. The fire, which was caused by an electric blanket, was contained to one room of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority house. It had been extinguished before crews arrived on scene. They conducted an investigation and were back in service at 4:12 a.m.

Crews were dispatched at 10:31 a.m. Saturday to assist Fillmore Fire Department with a motor vehicle accident near Chadd Valley. They were back in service at 11:41 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 409 S. Jackson St. at 1:23 p.m. Saturday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 1:24 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to apartments on Spring Street at 5:28 p.m. Saturday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 5:31 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1765 W. CR 300S at 7:43 p.m. Saturday for a field fire, which expanded to a cornfield. Approximately one acre of the field burned. They were back in service at 8:11 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 311 S. Locust St. at 10:48 p.m. Saturday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 10:50 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 311 S. Locust St. at 1:21 a.m. Sunday, but were again disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 1:23 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 208 Olive St. at 12:47 p.m. Sunday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 12:50 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to apartments on Spring Street at 5:53 p.m. Sunday for an alarm set off by cooking. DePauw University Police disregarded them while in route. They were back in service at 5:58 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Beverage Street at 8:13 a.m. Monday to clean up approximately one gallon of antifreeze from a motor vehicle accident. They were back in service at 8:32 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Delta Epsilon at 1:16 p.m. Monday, but were disregarded by DePauw University Security before leaving the station. They were back in service at 1:19 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Harrison Hall on the campus of DePauw University at 3:32 p.m. Monday, but were disregarded by DPU while in route. They were back in service at 3:35 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 208 E. Olive St. at 3:53 p.m. Monday, but were disregarded by DPU while in route. They were back in service at 3:57 p.m.
