Alspaugh, Mason tops in bowling

With the middle school bowling league's season creeping to a close, the action before sectional is getting hot and heavy.

In boys' action, Austin Alspaugh rolled a two-game series of 322, making it the third time he has led the competition in Middle School bowling at Alex Alleys.

He was followed by Joey Zaborski with a 297, Tyler Nield with a 295, Reggie Alex with a 291 and Stoney Hyten bowled a 277.

The girls were led by Annalysse Mason as she rolled a 296 series. Mandi Garl followed with a 268, while Alex Hyten tossed a 260 series. Kaitlynn Mason bowled a 255 and Katie Tesmer was fifth with a 236 series.

The bowlers have one final competition before they compete in the sectional April 29. Sectional action will take place at Alex Alleys and all bowlers will be able to compete in the regional that will be held in Clinton.
