Genevee "Genny" R. Williams

Genevee "Genny" R. Williams, 90, of Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis, died on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at The Waters of Greencastle.

She was born on March 27, 1919 in Owen County and was the daughter of the late Everett Clell and Ida Maude Zenor Cook. She was married to Darrell R. Williams, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1944.

Mrs. Williams was a retired assembler for P.R. Mallory in Indianapolis.

She is survived by three nieces, Evelyn McKamey and husband Robert of Cloverdale, Lavina Huxley of Indianapolis and Zelda Burns and husband Wesley of Buena Vista, Ariz. and one nephew, Ron Smith and wife Carol of Fillmore.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Mabel Beatrice Sutherlin and Opal Smith and her brother George Everett Cook.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale with Pastor Alan Small officiating. Burial will be in the Wilkinson Cemetery in Poland.

Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
