Cougars muzzle Bulldogs

MONROVIA -- The North Putnam High School baseball team defeated Monrovia 12-1 Tuesday.

Tyler Watson went 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Brock Jones had a home run. Scott Hunt went 1-for-4 with a home run.

Reece Herron earned the win, allowing one run on threehits while fanning four.

On Monday, the Cougars defeated the Bulldogs at home 10-9.

Jones went 3-for-3 with a home run and a double and two RBIs. He also scored four runs. Hunt went 2-for-4 with two RBI while CJ Lofton went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Hunt got the win, pitching the first four innings while Mitchell Crum earned the save, pitching the last three innings.
