Michael to speak at Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner

State Representative Nancy Michael will be the featured speaker at the annual Putnam County Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner on June 8 at 6 p.m. at Windy Hill Country Club.

Michael is a lifelong resident of Putnam County with a strong record of public service in Indiana. She was elected Putnam County clerk, to the Putnam County Council and served three terms as Greencastle mayor. She has also worked for the Indiana State Auditor and at the Indiana Department of Corrections.

She is in her first term representing Indiana's District 44, which covers all of Putnam County and parts of Clay, Vigo and Parke counties.

Michael holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from Indiana University. She graduated from North Putnam High School.

Putnam County Democratic Chairman Dave Bohmer announced the public is welcome to attend the annual dinner, but reservations are necessary. Swiss steak will be served to attendees for $25 per person.

Gathering time for the dinner is social hour at 5:30 p.m. with serving at 6 p.m.
