Phyllis J. Logelin, 70, of St. Bonifacius, Minn. died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, Minn.

She was born Nov. 4, 1938 in Owen County, the daughter of Margaret Summerlot Cooper.

On June 13, 1959 she was united in marriage to Thomas H. Logelin at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius with Father Wohlfohrt as celebrant of the Mass.

Mrs. Logelin was co-owner of the St. Boni farm store. She was a loving wife, mom and grandma always putting family first. Some of the enjoyments she had in life were canning, knitting, crocheting and antiquing. She was proud of her depression glass collection.

She enjoyed traveling with Tom visiting every state but Alaska. She was part of the card club in St. Bonifacius and belonged to the Altar Society at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Phyllis' grandchildren meant the world to her and she was an adopted grandmother to many children.

She is survived by her husband Tom Logelin of St. Bonifacius; son Paul Logelin of Lester Prairie, Minn.; daughters and sons-in-law Theresa 'Terri' and Keith Wehrman of Rochester, Minn., Melissa and Britt Buscho of Bloomington, Minn., Nina and Bob Hysick of Rochester and Tracy Logelin of Burnsville; grandchildren Carey and Kipp Walberg, Nathan Wehrman, Madelin Buscho, Emily Wehrman, Thomas Hysick and Michael Hysick; brothers and sisters-in-law Lyle and Jeanne Cooper of Indiana, Estel Cooper of California and Gary and Marian Cooper of Indiana; sister Rose Ada Wood of Indiana; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law JoAnn and Marvin Rademacher of Waconia, Minn., Jon and Jeanne Logelin of LeSueur, Minn. and Arlene Logelin of Waconia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Cooper; brother Kenneth Cooper; sister Ella Minnick; sisters-in-law Karen Cooper and Ruth Ann Cooper; and brother-in-law Don Logelin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius, with Father Tom Balluff officiating. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in St. Bonifacius.

Calling will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the St. Boniface Fellowship Hall and one hour prior to the mass. Vigil prayers are Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
