A Danville man was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail on alcohol related charges following an accident early Thursday morning.

Joseph Koehl, 25, was traveling east on US 36 at 12:19 a.m., when he attempted to avoid hitting a deer in the roadway. Koehl's vehicle struck the left-side guardrail.

While he was walking to get cell phone service to dial 911, a second vehicle struck Koehl's car. Rodney McMahon, no city listed, was traveling east on 36 and did not see Koehl's vehicle due to its emergency light not working from the accident.

The vehicle accident report stated Koehl smelled of alcohol and was given a field sobriety test. He was transported to the jail, where he blew a .14 on a certified test.

Koehl was booked at 2:09 a.m. for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Mark Bowden, 41, New Palestine, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear.

Tracy Dunscombe, 35, Greencastle, was booked at 3:27 p.m. Wednesday for disorderly conduct and intimidation.

Thomas Kratt, 23, Coatesville, was booked at 3:38 p.m. Wednesday for theft and burglary.

Anthony Lehr, 24, Bainbridge, was booked at 3:51 p.m. Wednesday for probation violation.

Dallas Maynard, 23, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:26 a.m. Thursday for probation violation.

Tamara Wade, 46, Greencastle, was booked at 3:38 p.m. Thursday for violating the terms of her probation.

Steve Grant, 52, Avon, was booked at 5:40 p.m. Thursday for theft, and mischief.

Michael Rice, 27, Coatesville, was booked at 4:45 a.m. Friday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a controlled substance.
