Bond revoked for Kratt

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

The bond of a Coatesville man charged in Putnam County Circuit Court with Class B felony burglary and Class D felony theft has been revoked.

Judge Matthew Headley ordered Thomas R. Kratt, 23, held in the Putnam County Jail without bond on the charges.

Kratt posted 10 percent of a $10,000 bond and was released from jail three days after his Jan. 23 arrest. That bond was revoked after charges of Class D felony theft and Class A misdemeanor resisting law enforcement were filed against Kratt in Hendricks County on May 26.

Kratt's next Putnam County court date, a pretrial conference, is set for June 25.

Kratt stands accused of conspiring with another man to steal items including motorcycle helmets and riding equipment, computers and tools from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a house in the 300 block of W. C.R. 700S in Cloverdale on Jan. 21.

If he is convicted of both charges, Kratt could be sentenced to 23 years in prison.
