Mill Pond hosts food drive

Friday, June 19, 2009

Mill Pond Health Campus hosted a food drive to benefit the Putnam County Food Pantry. The "Spring for a Meal" food drive was held through the end of May. All Mill Pond Health Campus employees were encouraged to donate food, cash or personal time off to this worthy cause.

"It is such a joy to be able to give back to the community in which you live and work. At Mill Pond Health Campus we are constantly striving to make a positive difference in Putnam County," said Executive Director Jessica Crafton. "We feel privileged to partner with The Putnam County Food Pantry to offer this Food Drive. We collected the equivalent of 1,163 pounds of food when you add actual canned goods and donated personal time."

The food drive is a company-wide initiative in which each of the 56 facilities owned by Trilogy Health Services is participating; each designating their own local food bank as the recipient.

The Putnam County Food Pantry is in need of any non-perishable food items, such as canned goods (meats, vegetables, fruits or soups), peanut butter and jelly, crackers, dried foods, cereal or any other item that does not require refrigeration.
