Sheriff's Department

Alisha Kimes of Fillmore was traveling on CR 25W Sunday, when she attempted to cross U.S. 36.

Jennifer Smith of Brownsburg was traveling west on US 36, when Kimes pulled into her path. Smith struck the passenger side of Kimes' vehicle sending it into a cornfield owned by Bill Bowman.

The accident report stated skid marks from Smith's vehicle indicated she attempted to avoid the crash.

Kimes suffered a small abrasion on her right leg, but refused medical treatment at the scene. Smith complained of pain in her left forearm and right knee. Her passenger, name and city unknown, complained of pain in the right elbow and had an abrasion above the left eye.

Putnam County Operation Life transported Smith and her passenger to Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Brandi Thomas of Spencer was traveling west on US 40 at 2:25 a.m. Sunday, when a deer entered the roadway. Thomas collided with the animal head on causing extensive damage to her vehicle.

Seniour's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

There were seven alcohol related arrests from Friday to Monday.

Paul Murphy, 50, Anderson, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 11:26 pm. Friday for public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Tommy Bixler, 51, Spencer, was booked at 12:06 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Clarence Dixie, 45, Cloverdale, was booked at 1:18 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Brian Kemp, 30, Greencastle, was booked at 3:57 a.m. Saturday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Michael Bastin, 37, Greencastle, was booked at 4:41 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication, battery by bodily waste, resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

Cindy McClane, 52, Greencastle, was booked at 6:54 a.m. Monday for operating while intoxicated.

Daniel Monnett, 38, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:31 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, operating per se and public intoxication.

Other arrests included:

Randy Sawyer, 38, Cloverdale, was booked at 2:19 a.m. Saturday for probation violation.

Christopher Foreman, 26, Indianapolis, was booked at 4:25 p.m. Saturday for invasion of privacy.

James Eiseman, 22, Cloverdale, was booked at 1:33 a.m. Sunday for probation violation.

Madonna Owens, 21, Coatesville, was booked at 8:56 p.m. Sunday for assisting a criminal.

Brent Wallace, 24, Greencastle, was booked at 4:06 p.m. Monday for probation violation.

Christine Heaslet, 34, Spencer, was booked at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday for probation violation.

Brian Asbury, 34, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday for invasion of privacy.
