Sheriff's Department

A vehicle struck a Greencastle man riding his motorcycle on US 40 early Tuesday morning.

Chris Rady was riding his 1996 Honda CVR motorcycle west on 40, when a vehicle driven by Steve Goodpaster of Reelsville struck him. Goodpaster was traveling east on 40 and attempted to make a turn from the crossover into a private driveway. His view was blocked by another vehicle in the crossover and did not see Rady.

Rady suffered pain in his ribs and was taken to Putnam County Hosptial via Putnam County Operation Life ambulance service. The accident report stated his injuries were minimal due to a helmet and safety jacket Rady was wearing.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed Rady's motorcycle from the scene.

Johlissa Gerber of Cloverdale was traveling on US 231 at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday, when she lost control of her vehicle while passing another motorist and struck a utility pole.

Jacqueline Pyrz, city unknown, was traveling south on 231, when Gerber's vehicle ran her off the road, causing damage to the vehicle.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Gerber's vehicle from the scene.
