Charles Melvin Sinclair, 89, of Eminence died on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Asbury Towers in Greencastle.

He was born May 30, 1920 in Cloverdale and was the son of the late Frederick Arthur and Freeda Jane McCammack Sinclair. He married Viola Lorene Ramsey in 1942 and she preceded him in death on May 28, 2009.

Mr. Sinclair was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge #440, F.&A.M. of Eminence, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Murat Temple of A.A.O.M.S., Indianapolis. He was retire vice-president of sales and marketing for Standard Oil, pilot and aircraft mechanic and farmer.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Jean Mercer and husband Duane C. of Eminence and Pamela Kay Patrick and husband Dr. Otis H. of Quincy; brother Curtis L. Sinclair and wife Lucille of Cloverdale; granddaughter Jamie Lynn Patrick of Eminence; and great-granddaughter Violette Kay Patrick of Eminence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home with Bro. A.J. Cox officiating. Burial will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.

Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic memorial services at 7:30 p.m.
