Putnam County Jail

Rickie Johnson, 22, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 5:28 p.m. Thursday for domestic battery.

David Branagin, 37, Greencastle, was booked at 1:32 p.m. Friday for forgery.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

One person was transported to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident early Thursday morning.

Joseph Steinem of Cloverdale was attempting a left turn from US 231 onto the eastbound ramp of Interstate 70 at 6:15 a.m., when he failed to see a second vehicle driven by Alvin Wagler of Morganstown also turning onto the eastbound ramp.

Steinem's vehicle struck the driver's side of Wagler's vehicle causing it to roll onto the passenger side. Putnam County Operation Life transported a passenger in Wagler's vehicle to Putnam County Hospital.

Curtis Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Greencastle Police Department

Phillip Asbell, 44, Greencastle, was traveling north on Indiana Street at 1:50 a.m. Friday, when his 2008 Saab struck a parked Dodge Caravan registered to Wally Knight Jr., of Greencastle.

There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.
