Eagles get win on the road

MONTEZUMA -- The South Putnam High School volleyball team picked up a big win Tuesday night against Riverton Parke.

The Eagles won in four sets, 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 25-19, with Rachel Egold leading the offense with 12 points and five digs, while Emily Dabkowski 10 points and 13 assists. Brooke Boetjer had 10 kills for the night while Katelyn Sibbitt had nine digs and Ashley Wombles had five blocks.

The Eagles are back in action on Thursday when they host the Cougars of North Putnam at 6 p.m.
