Eagles place third at Edgewood

ELLETTSVILLE -- The South Putnam girls' golf team placed third behind Indian Creek and Edgewood Tuesday. Indian Creek was first with a 176, Edgewood was second with a 195 and the Eagles' were third with a 196.

Heather Hughes earned medalist honors and paced the Eagles' squad with a 39. She was followed by Cierra Perry's 46 and Caitlyn Boyce's 53. Kelsey Searles shot a 58, Robbie Urton and Jessie McKean carded a 60 and Madison Cash fired a 64.

South Putnam will travel to Brazil to face Northview and South Vermillion next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
