TERRE HAUTE -- Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana is offering a Preservation Demonstration Workshop for do-it-yourselfers on Oct. 3 at their organization in Terre Haute.

The workshop will cover care and repair of historic wood windows, as well as masonry. Jack Patchin and Rhonda Deeg from Ol' House Experts in Madison will present the restoring and maintaining historic wood windows.

Donnie Furry with Midwest Restoration, Inc. in Paris, Ill. will teach the historic masonry care and repair class.

"I am sure the workshop will be of interest to many Putnam County, particularly people who are working on a historic house project or other building rehabilitation. I would be happy to discuss this in more detail if there are questions," said Thomas Balduf, Community Preservation Specialist with the Western Regional Office of Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana.

The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost to attend is $10 per persona and includes light refreshments. Reservations are required by Sept. 18.

The Western Region of Historic Landmarks Foundation is located at 444 S. 6th St., Terre Haute. For information or to make a reservation contact Balduf at Historic Landmarks at 812-232-4554 or e-mail west@historiclandmarks.org
