Tiger Cubs win in thriller

The Greencastle seventh and eighth grade football teams defeated North Putnam Thursday. The seventh won 16-0, while the eighth graders won 8-6.

In the eighth grade game, GMS trailed 6-0 going into the fourth quarter. The Tiger Cubs stopped the Cougars on a fourth and goal on the three-yard line at the 6:30 mark.

On their ensuing possession, Greencastle took the ball 97 yards and scored on a fourth and goal from the eight yard line to tie the game at six-all. They scored the two-point conversion for the lead and the win.

Clovers split with Bulldogs

The Cloverdale seventh and eighth grade football teams split with Monrovia. The seventh grade lost 24-14, while the eighth grader won 22-14.
