William Hargis of Ladoga was traveling north on CR 1010E near Belle Union at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, when he missed a 90-degree curve, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway, go airborne and land in a bean field.

Hargis stated he was not familiar with the road.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Ashley Gasper of Greencastle was traveling south on CR 550W at 5 a.m. Thursday, when she swerved to miss a deer. Her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Dagy and Madison streets at 9:01 a.m. Thursday for an electrical issue. They were disregarded and back in service at 9:05 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 39 Putnam Plaza at 10:09 a.m. Thursday for a medical assist with Putnam County Operation Life. They were back in service at 10:42 a.m.
