CLAYTON -- The North Putnam High School volleyball team fell to Cascade 3-0, 25-14, 25-12, 25-8 Thursday night.

"We played well at the beginning of the match, and once we began pointing fingers and blaming our teammates for balls that hit the floor we fell apart," NPHS Coach Jill Schreiber said.

"We are so much a selfish team," she added. We don't take responsibility for anything that happens on the court and we do not play as a team; until we stop pointing fingers and playing as a team we will not win. We have to help each other and build on others strengths and cover our weaknesses.

"We have some talent and we are beginning to display the skills we are learning in practice, but we are not playing as a team and we can't take a step forward until we decided to play as one," Schreiber added.

Carlye McGaughey and Paxton Stephenson had two kills each while Megan Robinson had two stuff blocks. Megan Gray had four assists while Leeann Davis had 14 digs.
