Tiger Cubs blank Sullivan

SULLIVAN -- The Greencastle boys' soccer team shut out the Sullivan Golden Arrows 4-0 Saturday. Scoring for GHS was Josh Bonebrake with two goals and Nate Jones and Spencer Moore adding a goal each.

The Tiger Cubs attacked the goal on the night, outshooting the Golden Arrows 14-2 in the first half. Even though Greencastle picked up the win, GHS head coach Dave Lilly noted it wasn't easy getting the ball through the defense.

"Sullivan keeps a lot of players behind the ball, which makes it difficult to score," Lilly said. "The early goal was key for us."

David Cath, Evan Smith and J.T. Hennette provided assists in the contest. Kyle Parker recorded six saves in the game.

Greencastle will host Edgewood Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
