Theft has taken joy out of holiday

To the Editor:

Dear Thief,

I am glad you like our Halloween decorations.

They are really awesome, huh?

Unfortunately, you stole them from my daughters when you removed them from my yard.

Do you know those two little girls worked very hard to make those gravestones? That was a family project, and it took a lot of time and effort to make. My kids were very proud of those plywood headstones.

You must have wanted them badly; they couldn't have been easy to get out of the ground, we had to use a hammer to beat the posts into the yard.

We put out holiday decorations to share with everyone. I never thought someone would steal them from us.

How sad that my kids think we shouldn't decorate for holidays anymore because someone will steal our decorations.

Thank you for taking all of the fun out our holidays. I hope someday when you have to explain to your kids about what kind of losers are in this world, you remember that you're one of them.
