Putnam County Jail

Aaron Monnett, 25, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 2:52 p.m. Wednesday for violation of home detention.

Nicholas Bennett, 19, Greencastle, was booked in at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday for operating a motor vehicle and never receiving a license, possession of marijuana with prior and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

Kitty Terry, 50, Greencastle, was booked in at 9:19 p.m. Wednesday for writ of body attachment.

Christopher Taylor, 23, Greencastle, was booked in at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday for petition to revoke probation.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Guillermo Gonzalez of Indianapolis was traveling west on CR 700S east of US 231 near Cloverdale at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, when his vehicle left the road on a curve and he lost control. The vehicle rolled several times in a bean field before coming to a stop.

Steeles Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Police Department

Robert Watson of Greencastle was traveling north on Percy Julian Drive at 3:22 p.m. Wednesday when he failed to see a vehicle driven by Cynthia Kelsey of Russellville stopped in front of him. Watson's vehicle collided with the back of Kelsey's vehicle.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

The following tickets were issued by GPD:

Jeffrey S. Schall, 43, Indianapolis was stopped on E. Washington Street and Stadium Drive at 5:38 p.m. Oct. 14 and cited for speeding -- 49 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Luis Viveros, 34, Lafayette, was stopped on S. Jackson and Hannah streets at 11:10 a.m. Sunday and cited for no operator's license when required.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 732 Northview St. at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for an electrical short in a baseboard heater. The power was shut off and they were back in service at 7:07 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 318 Dogwood Drive at 9:53 a.m. Thursday to investigate the smell of natural gas. Nothing was found. They were back in service at 10:07 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 1555 S. Bloomington St. at 10:47 a.m. Thursday for a lift assist with Operation Life. They were back in service at 10:56 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 236 Hillsdale Drive at 11:29 a.m. Thursday to investigate smoke due to burning leaves. They were back in service at 11:43 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 106 S. Spring St. at 11:10 a.m. Friday for an alarm due to cooking. They were back in service at 11:20 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to US 231 and Veteran's Memorial Highway at 2:33 p.m. Friday for a car accident. They were disregarded en route and back in service at 2:35 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to the indoor tennis courts at DePauw University, 200 W. Hannah St., at 2:35 p.m. Friday for a general run. They were back in service at 2:50 p.m.
