Customers look over the impressive selection at last year's Gobin homemade cookie sale.

GREENCASTLE -- The 18th annual homemade cookie sale at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church is set for 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 5.

Customers will don a plastic glove and make their own selections from dozens of trays of delicious and colorful homemade cookies. They can choose the kind, number and size of the cookies. Three different sizes of decorated tins may be purchased: a small tin for $4, a medium tin for $7, and a large tin for $10.

The secret is to get there early for the best selection.

To get to the cookie sale, use the Simpson Street entrance with the glass doors on the south side of the church building. The sale will be conducted in the church's basement. An elevette is available for those wishing to avoid the stairs.

While the sale is coordinated by the United Methodist Women, many church members play an important part in providing cookies and assisting with the sale. This year's proceeds will be used to help the Gobin Church General Fund and Gobin's Kitchen Fund.
