GREENCASTLE -- Beau Baird of Greencastle earned top-10 finishes in senior trail and senior western pleasure with Rockin For Certain, a 2002 bay American Quarter Horse gelding, during the FedEx Open competition at the American Quarter Horse Association World Championship Show held in Oklahoma City.

"The AQHA World Championship Show is the premier event for AQHA members," said Don Treadway Jr., AQHA executive vice president. "Congratulations to Beau for achieving such a great honor with Rockin For Certain."

The AQHA World Championship Show is the largest, richest single-breed world championship horse show in existence, with more than $2.7 million awarded to 3,464 entries from 46 states, six Canadian provinces, Brazil, Germany, France, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

To qualify for the invitational event, horses must have earned a predetermined number of points in AQHA-approved shows from Aug. 1, 2008 to July 31, 2009.

The American Quarter Horse Journal will have the results from the show in its January issue.
