Cloverdale, North Putnam wrestling in action recently

The Cloverdale High School wrestling team finished 1-4 Saturday at Western Boone.

The Clovers defeated Clinton Prairie 60-18, but lost to Western Boone 34-30, Tri-West 66-15, Frankfort 61-17 and Crawfordsville 53-16.

Shawn Shipp finished the day 3-2 in the 112 pound class, while Tyler Carrell went 1-4 for the day at 119 and Tyler Howard finished 1-4 in the 125 pound division.

Jeremy Boldman finished Saturday with a 4-1 record in the 135-pond weight class, while teammate Donnie Helterband went 4-1 on the day in the 145-pound class. Jordan Linker finished 203 in the 160-pound division and Kody Kohler went 1-4 in the 171-pound class.

Matt Hall was the only wrestler to go undefeated. He finished the day with a 5-0 record, wrestling in the 189-pound division. Colton Kidder finished 2-3 on Saturday in the 215 class and Josh Batchelor finished 3-2 in the heavyweight class.

North Putnam

The North Putnam High School wrestling team went 0-4 over the weekend at the Monrovia five-way.

Cascade defeated the Cougars 60-12, while Speedway won 52-18, Monrovia won 42-28 and South Putnam defeated the Cougars 41-30.

Tyler Ruble and Eric Davis finished the day undefeated with a 4-0 record, while Chris McGuff went 3-1 on the day. Joe Mindiola and Randall Cox both went 2-2 on the day and Tyler Bullerdick finished 1-0 for the day.
