Stonebraker offers in-home hair service
GREENCASTLE -- Rhonda Stonebraker, owner of the Mona Lisa's Spa and Salon, has been going to a few of her client's homes to cut and style their hair for a long time. She decided now was a good time to reach out and offer her services to other homebound people who might want hair care.
"I just decided one day a few weeks ago that since I have some elderly clients who sometimes have difficulty coming in I could go to them. I have one lady I've been doing that for a long time. I know there are a lot of elderly people who can't get out and would like to look nice for the holidays, so now seemed a good time," explained Stonebraker.
Her salon services run from $12 for a shampoo and style, $15 for a cut, $17 for a shampoo and cut and $22 for shampoo, cut and style.
Stonebraker does not charge any additional fee to make the in-home visits.
"I can do a haircut in about 15 minutes, a shampoo, cut and style in about 30 minutes. I can even do a perm or them if they are able to bend over the sink," she said.
"I just like helping people. It makes them feel good and makes me feel good. If somebody has a need, I will go to them," said Stonebraker, who has been doing hair for over 29 years.
She is the current owner of Mona Lisa Day Spa and Salon that opened about nine months ago. Prior to that, she owned the Victorian Day Spa, which was destroyed in a devastating fire.
"It's hard to lose something you have poured you heat and soul into, but I can say I followed my dream and made it happen," Stonebraker said. "I have no regrets, as it was an amazing experience."
The Mona Lisa Spa and Salon offers spa packages, parties for weddings and other occasions, body scrubs and masks, body wraps, facials, massages and a full array of salon services.
They are located at 810 Indianapolis Road in suite two. Hours are Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with walk-ins welcome.
