Putnam County Jail

Steven Sage, 28, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 1:08 a.m. Saturday for violation of probation.

Christopher Trigg, 46, Greencastle, was booked at 4:18 a.m. Saturday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of paraphernalia.

Clifford Patterson, 23, Fillmore, was booked at 6:03 p.m. Saturday for theft.

James Wright, 38, Greencastle, was booked at 1:44 a.m. Sunday for harassment, battery and mischief.

Ronald Miller, 33, Springfield, Mo., was booked at 2:37 a.m. Monday for writ of body attachment.

Andrew O'Hair, 21, Greencastle, was booked at 12:53 p.m. Monday for violation of home detention.

Daniel Claycomb, 29, Roachdale, was booked at 6:43 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

Damon Rubeck, 31, Cloverdale, was booked at 9:10 p.m. Monday for operating a vehicle as a habitual offender and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Christopher Collins, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Trevor Bonifacius, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

Robert Sims, 21, Fillmore, was booked at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Daniel Asher of Roachdale was traveling on SR 236E near Barnard at 6:05 a.m. Monday, when his vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Cynthia Hayden of Fillmore was traveling east on SR 240E near Fillmore at 6:30 a.m. Dec. 6, when her vehicle became stranded due to ice and snow-covered roads.

James Finchum of Stilesville was also traveling east on 240, when he lost control of his vehicle due to the road conditions.

William Duke of Greencastle was traveling west on 240, when he, too, lost control of his vehicle due to the road conditions and collided with Finchum's vehicle, which collided with Hayden's vehicle.

The accident report stated road conditions were "extremely dangerous"' due to the ice and snow. There were several vehicles stranded in the area at the time of the crash.

Emergency crews were on scene "in excess of two hours" before the Indiana Department of Transportation responded and began snow removal.

Bumgardner's Wrecker Service towed Finchum's vehicle; Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Duke's vehicle; and Hayden's vehicle was not towed from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Nancy Knapp of Greencastle was traveling on CR 55OS near Putnamville at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 7 in a school bus registered to South Putnam School Corporation.

Knapp was attempting to travel down a small steep hill, which was covered with snow and ice. She was unable to stop the bus for the "T" intersection and slid approximately six feet before striking a utility pole.

The report did not state whether there were children on the bus at the time of the accident.

There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Scott Tallion of Plainfield was traveling on US 36E near Bainbridge at 7 p.m. Nov. 27, when his vehicle struck a deer. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Kroger Fuel Center on Indianapolis Road at 11:07 p.m. Friday to investigate the odor of gas. Nothing was found and they were back in service at 11:31 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 504 E. Seminary St. at 5:36 a.m. Saturday for an alarm due to a candle. They were back in service at 5:50 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 536 Arlington Ave. at 2:48 p.m. Saturday for a fire inside a clothes dryer. Upon arrival, crews found light smoke and a small fire inside the dryer. It was extinguished and they were back in service at 3:19 p.m.

Crews were dispatched 500 Moores Court at 8:39 p.m. Saturday for a structure fire. They were back in service at 10 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to the Cloverdale Fire Station at 8:05 p.m. Sunday to help man the station. They were back in service at 2:10 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 414 S. Indiana St. at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, but were disregarded before leaving the station. They were back in service at 1:25 p.m.
