Bonnie Jean Cox, 77, of Rockville died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009 in Rockville.

She was born Sept. 15, 1932 in Bicknell, the daughter of Ollie Trowbridge and Ruth Morgan Trowbridge. She was a homecoming queen for basketball and graduated from Bicknell High School.

Mrs. Cox was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rockville Assembly of God Church, where she served as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and a leader of the women's ministry. She was also a member of Tri Kappa and Jobs Daughters.

She married Verle D. Cox on Dec. 5, 1950 and was his primary caregiver for 38 years, prior to his death in September 2000.

She is survived by daughters Karen Larson and husband Larry of Minooka, Ill. and Pamela Hall and husband Mike of Greencastle; sons Gregory Cox and wife JoLynn of Chesapeake, Ohio, Michael Cox and wife Jennifer of Rosedale and Timothy Cox of Rockville; brothers Bob Trowbridge of Hobart and Tom Trowbridge of Coatesville; sister Lavada Hinshaw of Bicknell; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kimberly Ruth Cox in 1964.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville. Calling will be from noon until the time of service.

Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Memory Garden.
