Snap Fitness opened their doors last Tuesday with a ribbon cutting. Helping celebrate their grand opening are Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce director Tammy Amor, chamber ambassadors Dr. Isaac Case and Tracy Maynard, Snap owner Shawn Crawford, Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray, city attorney Laurie Hardwick, chamber ambassadors Amber Bower and Therese Cunningham.

GREENCASTLE -- The new SNAP Fitness club operates 24-hours a day in the shopping center in front of Wal-Mart. Brice Leconte and Shawn Crawford are owners of the new facility.

Inside, each club is stocked with cardio and strength-training equipment identical to that found in big-box clubs, as well as free weights.

The new business is offering no enrollment fee for a limited time -- a savings of $149 -- just in time to help keep that New Year's resolution.

Snap Fitness members receive a free fitness assessment valued at $100, plus free instruction and a workout plan.

A single person can join Snap Fitness for $34.95 per month; for a couple, it is $49.95; and a family can get fit together for $59.95 per month. A month-to-month option is available.

In addition, a personal Web page provides access to an online training center where workouts can be created, modified and tracked; an online nutritional and meal planning program that recommends daily caloric intake and menus based on personal goals and preferences; and a confidential health risk assessment that results in a personal wellness plan with tailored recommendations on how to lower health risks and achieve fitness faster.

The new fitness center is located at 1752 Indianapolis Road. For more information, call 653-4000, visit www.snapfitness.com/greencastlein or e-mail greencastlein@snapfitness.com.
