A Putnam County Jail representative confirmed at 12:30 a.m. today that Jeremy Bledsoe, 31, who police had been searching for since the discovery of his wife Kathryne's body in the couple's home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, had been taken into custody.

Bledsoe is the prime suspect in the shooting death of his wife. A warrant for his arrest on a charge of Class A felony murder was issued late Wednesday afternoon.

  • Thank GOD;No one else was hurt. Prayers for the family. The children are the one's who is going to suffer. May their family members take good care of them.

  • Now that he's in custody...what will your comment boards gossip about??

Lets all pray for his children, grandmother, & Kathrines parents/family. Lets also pray for Jeremy to get the help that he needs. They say he had mental illness, I dont know what difference it would make in this situation if he had MS, but they said that as well. He did have a hard childhood, and went into drugs as an adult, so obviously never dealt w/his demons. Maybe now he can do that. Lets all remember that we need to raise our children w/love, discipline, respect, & faith so they will turn into caring responsible adults. Like I said yesterday, just another example of what can happen when you throw your children to the side & choose to not care for or raise them.

  • My prayers do go out to the children and family. As for Jeremy, not so much!

We are all what we make of ourselves, and there are alot of people out there that grew up with a not so great childhood but still know right from wrong.

I have a hard time accepting the fact that the whole childhood excuse makes it any better, he'll get whats comin to him hopefully!

  • Nice job by all involved L.E. Agencies and alert citizens. It appears that all pulled together as they should.

  • I've never met the man or his family. I will keep him and his family in my prayers. Now let's just let the judical system work. Let a jury of his peers say he is guilty or not. BUT what Fenwick or the comments made in the Banner does not mean anything and should be first not made and surely not put in print.

  • To whatruthinkin, I think Jeremy needs prayer as well. He's clearly got some issues, and if you truly believed in the power of prayer, you would agree that we pray for our friends AND our enemies.

  • Dear Garry you are hopelessly obsessed with a case you had no involvement in give it up.

  • Don't know this man or his family. But, my heart goes out to those children. Their mother is dead and their father will probably be incarcerated (if found guilty). They have a hard dysfunctional life ahead of them. I hope they have a loving family that will show them love and care.
