Karen Jean Medlin Thompson, 53, of Bowling Green died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at her residence after battling a terminal illness.

She was born Oct. 23, 1956 in Greenfield, the daughter of Arthur "Tiny" and Mary Medlin. She married Mac Thompson on April 14, 2006 and he survives.

She was employed at Crown Equipment Company for seven years prior to her illness. She and her husband owned and operated Thompson Lime Service.

She is survived by her mother; her husband Mac; son David Dilley and wife Trista of Cloverdale; stepsons Kyle Thompson and wife Jordan and Klynt Thompson and fiancée Ashley Griffith; sisters Sandi Baker and husband Bud of Reelsville, Kay Kissick of Greenfield and Sue Hewson and husband Mick of Greenfield; brothers Billy Medlin of Greenfield and Jimmy Medlin and wife Cindy of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.; granddaughters Kelsey and Raylea Dilley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and daughter Danyel Dilley.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green. Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
