Putnam County Jail

Joshua A. Sebastian, 19, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:57 p.m. Wednesday for receiving stolen property.

Joshua Wright, 20, Greencastle, was booked at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear on a probation violation.

Brenda K. Walker, 55, Knightsville, was booked at 9:42 p.m. Wednesday for theft.

Sondra L. Reynolds, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 9:58 a.m. Thursday for contempt of court.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Amanda S. Nees of Poland was traveling northeast on CR 525W near Reeslville, when her vehicle struck a partially decayed tree lying in the roadway. When Amanda's mother Susan A. Nees arrived to help her daughter, her vehicle struck the same fallen tree.

Both vehicles sustained damage to the undercarriage and front tires. Damage was estimated to be less than $750. Neither vehicle was towed.

Tifny M. Fiest of Fillmore was traveling south on CR 475E near Fillmore at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, when her vehicle struck a deer. The vehicle was not towed and there was an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 110 E. Larabee St. at 2:36 a.m. Thursday for a sprinkler system malfunction. They were back in service at 3:29 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Manhattan Road near the former Oxford Automotive building at 11:17 a.m. Thursday for a motor vehicle accident. They were back in service at 11:50 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to Putnam County Museum, 1105 N. Jackson St., at 4:09 p.m. Thursday to assist the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. They were back in service at 5:36 p.m.
