Putnam County Jail

Kevin M. Bain, 24, Cloverdale, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:07 p.m. Thursday for violation of probation.

Candace J. Benson, 50, Greencastle, was booked at 6:37 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Kelsey N. Patterson, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 7:09 p.m. Thursday for violation of probation.

Stephen E. Seketa, 29, Greencastle, was booked at 7:25 p.m. Thursday for violation of probation and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Amber Lee Thompson-Seketa, 23, Greencastle, was booked at 7:47 p.m. Thursday for possession of paraphernalia and marijuana.

Daryl L. Short, 29, Clayton, was booked at 8:09 p.m. Thursday for non-support of child.

Cade R. Gibson, 22, Bainbridge, was booked at 11:40 a.m. Friday for domestic battery.

Sabrina R. Page, 20, Roachdale, was booked at 11:52 a.m. Friday for domestic battery.

Mandi D. Mundy, 32, Greencastle, was booked at 12:16 p.m. Friday for petition to revoke probation.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

A 2005 Hyundai Accent was parked at 10240 US 231N at approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, when the owner discovered damage to the front quarter panel on the driver's side of the vehicle.

The accident report stated the vehicle had been parked at the location since just before 4 p.m. There were no witnesses to the incident. Damages were estimated between $750 and $1,000.

Phillip S. Thayer of Sandusky, Ohio was beginning to merge into eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, when his vehicle struck a coyote.

His vehicle was not towed there an estimated $750 to $1,000 in damages.

Linda M. Weintraut of Russellville was traveling east on CR 900N at 1:05 a.m. Thursday, when her vehicle slid through a "T" intersection at 900 and CR 400W due to icy road conditions. Her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree and telephone pedestal.

Weintraut complained for pain in her left ankle and her one-year son sustained a contusion to the left side of his head. The report stated Weintraut and her son would seek medical attention at a later time.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 900 S. College Ave. at 5:47 p.m. Thursday to assist in clean up following a motor vehicle accident. They were back in service at 6:12 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to Walden Inn, 2 W. Seminary St., at 8:27 a.m. Friday for an odor investigation. Nothing was found and they were back in service at 8:57 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 109 Edgelea Drive at 9:35 a.m. Friday for a lift assist with Operation Life. They were back in service at 9:52 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 2478 W. CR 25N at 10:33 a.m. Friday for a medical assist with Operation Life. They were back in service at 10:54 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 608 Howard St. at 12:07 p.m. Friday to investigate a smoke odor. An electrical short in the refrigerator was found. They were back in service at 12:21 p.m.
