Taking Delivery

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Girl Scout cookies have arrived in Putnam County. On Monday, Girl Scouts Kaylea Torr, left, and Emily Scott help load boxes of the classic cookies. There were more than 25,000 boxes sold in pre-order sales, with 26 troops in Northern Putnam County selling cookies. Anyone who missed ordering cookies from a Girl Scout, there is still a chance. Cookie booths will be held Feb. 27, March 6 and 13 at Walmart, Kroger, Putnam Inn, Double Decker and McDonald's in Greencastle. They sell for $3.50 per box, and there are eight varieties to choose from -- Thin Mint, Trefoil, Samoas, Do Si Do, Dulce De Leche, Lemon Chalet Cremes, Tagalongs and the newest, Thank U Berry Munch. Call Katrina Asher at 522-1571 to purchase the famous cookies. Girls Scouts will also be selling cookies through Operation Cookies Drop. All cookies purchased through Operation Cookies Drop will be sent to military personnel through Camp Atterbury.

  • This isn't fair. There are other troops in Putnam County that didn't get there phone number published in the paper. These girls if they get a call will get credit for there troop, what happens to the other troops? Is this troop going to share? I don't think so.

Also if you want to buy Girl Scout Cookies just shop Kwik Mart at 40 & 231 he has them on a shelf. Again this doesn't seem quit fair.

But as I was always told LIFE ISN'T FAIR.

  • To "moo"...No, Moo, LIFE ISN'T FAIR....it is full of disappointments, sometimes I think my entire life has been just one big disappointment....then my thoughts immediately turn to prayer...and I ask God to help me work through my disapointments and the tears ....with prayer I find peace.

  • This is a great fundraiser for these girls and once again parents want to ruin it by bickering about what is fair and not fair.

Why not call the banner and ask them to publish your number or put it on here in your posts while you are ranting and raving.

I'm sure that will sale a lot of cookies.
