Edna MaDonna Floyd, 86, of Greenwood passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010.

She was born July 27, 1923 in Putnam County, to Robert W. and Mildred McAninch Orr. She attended Putnam County schools and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Edna married Kenneth W. Dickson in 1941, and he passed away in World War II. She was later married to Norman S. Tirsway from 1949 to 1974. Edna married Otis F. Floyd on Jan. 1, 1978, and he preceded her in death in January 1989.

Edna was employed as an administrator for Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years. She later was owner and administrator for Donna Nursing Homes Inc. in Cloverdale and Spencer for 23 years, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Southport Christian Church, Kappa Delta Phi sorority and the FTF Senior Citizens Group.

Her hobbies included decorating, sewing, crafts and plate collecting.

Survivors include one son, R. Trent Tirsway of Bargersville; one daughter, Terri L. Sanders of Greenwood; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth W. Dickson and Otis F. Floyd; and two sisters.

Calling will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
