Efforts of Sheriff's Dept. appreciated

To the editor:

A few weeks back during one of our "snow events," my daughter was released from Hendricks Hospital in Danville to go home to Greencastle, but she couldn't get any farther than my home here at Heritage Lake.

She was cut off from her medicine and oxygen tanks, and I couldn't get my car out of the garage because of the snow. I had a real medical emergency on my hands.

I called the Putnam County Sheriff's Office for help, and they had an officer at my house in 20 minutes and took my daughter to her home in Greencastle and was there another 20 minutes to solve her medical emergency.

I give thanks to all at the Putnam County Sheriff's Office for their help in this matter. They acted instantly and will be remembered forever at my home.
