Carlyle Coffman, 91, of Ormond Beach, Fla., passed away quietly in his home with his wife at his side on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2010.

He was born in Putnam County, to Raleigh and Ruth Coffman, served in the U.S. Army 45th Air Deport Group during World War II and dedicated his life's work at Delco Remy Company in Anderson.

Mr. Coffman was a devoted husband and proud member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge. He moved to Florida 20 years ago and enjoyed spending time with his wife on the beach.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Jane; sister Mildred Louise "Curly" Laudig and husband Joe; 13 siblings born to his father; three nieces and their husbands, Nancy and Richard Branneman, Vicki Jo and Chuck Hess and Patty Bills; two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Cantwell and Donna McCarter; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Minnick and Max Minnick; and five generations of numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents and a sister-in-law, Velma Rollings, preceded him in death.

A private funeral service in his honor was held March 6, followed by an entombment at Daytona Memorial Park.
