Emergency personnel greatly appreciated

To the Editor:

Our daughter was involved in a terrible accident on Sunday night on Melrose Avenue. We want to say a sincere thank you to all the emergency personnel that responded to this accident: Operation Life, Greencastle Fire Department and to Greencastle Police Officers Charles Inman and Eastman and anyone else who assissted.

Your professionalism and compassion on the scene and afterwards was and is greatly appreciated. It is a parent's worst nightmare to get that call that your child has been involved in a serious accident and not knowing is horrible. We wish to thank Putnam County Hospital as well for taking good care of our daughter while there.

Once again a big thanks to everyone.
