MANSFIELD -- There's fun for everyone in the family at the Annual Mansfield Village Mushroom Festival this Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Come early and register for organized mushroom hunts and buy or sell mushrooms at the auction. Win a cash prize for the largest mushroom each day, regardless of where it was found.

Visitors who join in the mushroom hunt can take home not only a delicious meal, but also a hand-carved mushroom walking stick for those who find the largest and most mushrooms.

Registration for the hunt is Saturday and Sunday from 8 until 10 a.m. at Fox's Overlook. Entry fee is $8.

Mushrooms will be sold throughout the day at the mushroom auction on Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 a.m. in front of the Red Barn.

The Mansfield Mushroom Car Show will be held on Sunday with registration from 8 a.m. until noon. Dash plaques will be given to the first 200 entries. Enjoy free oldies music featuring Just Cruisin' mobile DJ from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. under the Pavilion at Mansfield Parke. Awards will be presented immediately following. This is a great chance to show off a car while enjoying the Mushroom Festival.

Every special event in Mansfield offers lots of shipping and great food. Mansfield shoppes will be open and vendors will be set up selling arts, crafts, antiques and other treasures. Free tours of the Mansfield Roller Mill will be given all weekend.

There's plenty of parking available at Mansfield Parke with free trolley service downtown. For those who come to eat, there's a wide array of festival foods to enjoy. For more information, visit mansfieldparke.com or mansfieldvillage.com or call 334-1889 or 653-4026.
