Special Delivery

Friday, May 14, 2010
Judy Miller and Frances Washburne with the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry help postal carrier Janie Briones unload some of the over 4,000 pounds of food collected by U.S. Postal Carriers last Saturday. Members of South Putnam High School and Central Elementary School collected this batch that Briones was delivering to the pantry. The count isn't final yet, with amounts not recorded yet from Bainbridge, Roachdale and other county post offices. But the numbers are up this year from last. Some of the food collected will also go to Two Fish Food Pantry in Bainbridge. For information about the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry call 301-4431 or 653-1365.
