Sanford E. Siddons

Sanford E. Siddons, 93, of Greencastle passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010.

Mr. Siddons, the adopted son of Raymond and Beulah Walden Siddons, was born on Nov. 18, 1916 in Greencastle. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School and was a member of First Christian Church in Greencastle.

Mr. Siddons was a former member of Fillmore Christian Church and the Fillmore Lions Club. He was the former owner of Built -- Rite Construction Company.

Surviving are his children, Karen Beanland and husband Colin of Cloverdale, Rodney Siddons and wife Pat of Crawfordsville, Trudy Goodpaster and husband Mike of Fillmore, Sally Schaller and husband Kurt of Vacaville, Calif., and Perry Siddons and wife Lori of Greencastle; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marjorie; brothers Lemuel Clingenpeel and Gene Clingenpeel; and a granddaughter, Bonnie Beanland.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Mike Faust and the Rev. Paul Champion officiating. Burial will follow at Fillmore Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
