Frances Tuttle Asher

Frances Tuttle Asher, 82, of Roachdale passed away at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1927 in Greencastle to William Henry and Flora Marie Jent Tuttle.

She was a member of the Roachdale Christian Church. She was a housewife and mother.

She was married on Dec. 24, 1945 to Herschell Asher at the Roachdale Christian Church, and he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tony Asher of Roachdale and Steven Asher of North Salem; three daughters, Connie (Jim) Spear, Kathy (James) Bonifacius and Cindy (Craig) Miller, all of Roachdale; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one half brother, Harold Allen Grimes of Greencastle; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Asher Cline-Brindle of Ladoga, Dr. Marilyn Asher Wagoner of Burlington and Carmaleeta Jones Tuttle of Gosport.

She was preceded by her parents, foster parents Earl D. and Mona Young Shumaker, beloved brother William Franklin Tuttle and sister-in-law Helen Asher Sutherlin

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Roachdale Cemetery. The Rev. Alan Hughes will officiate. There will be no visitation.
