Putnam County Jail

James V. Greenier, 39, Indianapolis, was booked at 8:53 a.m. Thursday for failure to appear.

Tracy D. Huber, 39, Greencastle, was booked at 6:34 p.m. Wednesday for intimidation and battery.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Ryan L. Gillespie of Greencastle was traveling west on CR 300S at 12:59 a.m. Thursday, when he approached a curve and his vehicle left the roadway, traveled into a ditch and struck a power pole, which broke in half and knocked the lines to the ground. Gillespie was not injured in the crash.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed his vehicle. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 630 S. Tennessee St. at 8:54 a.m. Wednesday for an odor investigation. They were back in service at 9:05 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 11 Sunset Drive at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday for a smoke investigation. They were back in service at 9:13 a.m.

Crews were dispatched to 118 E. Washington St. at 12:21 p.m. Wednesday for a smoke investigation, which was a short-circuited dishwasher. No fire was found and power was shut off. They were back in service at 12:48 p.m.
