Roland Glen Cushman

Roland Glen Cushman, 86, of Russellville passed away at Williamsburg Health Care on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

He was born on May 8, 1924 to Forrest J. and Clara Segers Cushman at Creole Springs, Ill.

He graduated in 1942 from Veedersburg High School. He was a member of the Russellville Community Church and Russellville American Legion and Booster Club. He owned and operated Standard Oil and R & M Oil in Russellville. He served in the US Army Air Force.

He married Mary Nixon on Sept. 15, 1946 in Veedersburg, and she preceded him in death. Survivors include a son Ken (Karen) Cushman of Russellville, a daughter Linda K. (Jay) Harrison of Danville, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Ralph and Albert Cushman.

The family has chosen cremation, and there will be no services. The family will receive visitors at the Russellville Community Church from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.
