Shelter from the Sun

Thursday, July 8, 2010
Raymond McCloud, left, with the Roachdale Optimist Club stands with Putnam County Fair Board member Dale Jessup in front of the new shelter at the northeast entrance to the Putnam County Fairgrounds. For the past 20 to 25 years, the Optimist Club has been parking cars during fair week. This year, come rain or shine, they will be covered. The Roachdale Optimist Club donated the funds to have the shelter built.

  • I think it looks great! Glad the fairgrounds is improving instead of diminishing like so many other county's are.
