Putnam County Sheriff's Department

* July 26, 11 a.m.: Cyntha J. Davis, 48, Cloverdale, was traveling west on CR 700S in a 2006 Honda. Kimberly McCoy, 26, Cloverdale, was waiting to turn onto 700S from CR 560E in a 1996 Pontiac. McCoy did not see Davis' vehicle, and turned in front of her. Davis could not avoid the collision.

A toddler in McCoy's vehicle was transported to Putnam County Hospital to be examined.

Both vehicles were towed by Seniour's. Damage estimated $5,001-$10,000.

* July 26, 3:57 p.m.: Michael A. Henry, Greencastle, was westbound on SR 240 near CR 550E in a 2006 GMC. He advised he got too far over and overcorrected, hitting several trees.

Vehicle was towed by Mink's. Damage estimated $5,001-$10,000.

* July 27, 3 p.m.: Robert E. Marsh, 67, Rockville, was westbound on US 36 near US 231 in a 2006 Chrysler. He said he fell asleep, causing him to drift to the north side of the road, hitting a guardrail.

Estimated damage $1,001-$2,500.

* July 28, 11:06 p.m.: Nicholas P. Burdine, 25, Spencer, was driving a 1995 Jeep north on CR 725E near CR 800N when he lost control and ran into a ditch.

Burdine was charged with theft, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and traffic incident with property damage.

Vehicle was towed by Mink's. Estimated damage $2,501-$5,000.

* July 28, 11:30 p.m.: Holly J. Boston Ford, 35, Greencastle, was leaving the horse barn at the Putnam County Fairgrounds. Conditions were dark and rainy. She began to back her 2004 Chevrolet out of its parking space and hit the front driver's side fender of a 2003 Pontiac. Ford said she didn't know the vehicle was so close.

Estimated damage $2,501-$5,000.

* July 29, 12:40 a.m.: Kevin L. Frank, 27, Indianapolis, was southbound on CR 725E near CR 525N when he lost control of his 2004 Mazda and ran into a ditch. He hit a tree, causing an estimated $10,000 to $25,000 in damage.

Mink's towed the vehicle.

* July 30, 3:10 p.m.: Georgia Johnson, 59, Coatesville, was traveling southbound on Heritage Drive when she swerved to avoid a dog in the roadway. Her 2003 Cadillac left the roadway on the east side and into a ditch.

Seniour's towed the vehicle. Estimated damage $750-$1,000.

* July 30, 10:03 p.m.: Kyle William Griffith, 25, Cascade, Iowa, was stopped southbound on US 231 in a 1999 Mercury waiting for traffic to clear for a left turn on CR 75N. Melissa Jean Moss, 29, Bloomington, Wis., driving a 2008 Honda SUV, said Griffith stopped suddenly, forcing her to brake and serve to the right. Ronnie Lynn Hix II, 41, Brazil, driving a Ford Econoline box truck, was unable to stop, striking Moss's vehicle and forcing it into Griffith's.

All three drivers reported that Hix got out of his vehicle to see if everyone was OK, before leaving the scene.

Griffith was ejected from the vehicle, but refused treatment. Moss complained of back pain. Her vehicle was towed by Jerry's. Hix complained of back pain. Jerry's also towed his vehicle.

Hix was cited for traffic accident with injury.

* July 31, 3:17 p.m.: Barbara L. Courtney, 44, of Avilla, was traveling east on I-70 near the 32-mile marker in a 2006 Hummer when her vehicle veered sharply to the right and struck the guardrail. Courtney said she believed something broke.

Curtis towed the vehicle. Estimated damage $5,001-$10,000.

* Aug. 1, 12:19 p.m.: Herbert R. Armstrong, 82, Reelsville, was entering the flow of traffic at US 40 West and CR 625W in his 2007 Toyota and did not see the 2008 Mercedes driven by Charles L. Lacy Jr., 52, Indianapolis. Armstrong pulled out, and Lacy was unable to avoid the collision.

Armstrong was entrapped with serious bleeding from his head. He was extricated and transported to Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis via Air Evac. Lacy complained of back pain and was transported to Wishard by Operation Life.

Curtis towed Armstrong's vehicle, while Jerry's towed Lacy's. Estimated damage $2,501-$5,000.

* Aug. 1, 2:27 p.m.: Donnie Fitch, 67, Milan, Tenn., was eastbound on I-70 near the 47-mile marker when he ran off the road for an unknown reason. Witnesses said Fitch's Dodge SUV drifted off the roadway and into the trees.

Curtis towed the vehicle. Damage estimated $5,001-$10,000.

* Aug. 2, 12:51 a.m.: Michael Young, 27, Terre Haute, was changing a tire on I-70 at the 35-mile marker. While changing the tire, Young was struck by an unknown part of a passing vehicle, possibly a tractor trailer. The offending vehicle failed to stop.

Young had major damage to his right arm and way transported to Putnam County Hospital.

* Aug. 3, 5:25 p.m.: Virginia Spelbring, 88, Poland, was southbound on CR 200 W when she passed a black truck. She said the black truck proceeded to pass her, sideswiping her van and continuing southbound. She reported no further information about the vehicle, other than it was a black truck.

Damage estimated $1,001-$2,500.

Desiree Agee, 22, Poland: Possession of Marijuana, 6 p.m. Aug 3.

Shawna Lee Bruce, 21, Staunton: Operating while intoxicated and public intoxication, July 31, 1:40 a.m.

Nicholas Perry Burdine, 25, Spencer: Theft, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and traffic accident with property damage, July 29, 2:04 a.m.

Ryan Corbin-Kayne Burns, 30, Greencastle: Probation violation, July 29, 2:21 p.m.

Jennifer Capshaw, 38, Indianapolis: Forgery of documents, Aug. 3, 5:30 p.m.

Kenneth Troy Chadwell, 41, Roachdale: Domestic battery, July 29, 9:50 p.m.

Thomas Cox, 24, Indianapolis: Criminal mischief, Aug. 1, 10:26 a.m.

Michael Benjamin Crossley, 28, Harmony: Failure to appear, Aug. 2, 9:14 a.m.

Drew Michael Evens, 20, Greencastle: Escape, resisting law enforcement and probation violations (2 counts), July 30, 2:15 p.m.

Matthew Lee Gist, 27, Greencastle: Domestic battery, Aug. 4, 1:35 a.m.
