Cougars Place 3rd

The North Putnam girls' golf team played a four-way match with Southmont, Seeger and Rockville Wednesday. North Putnam placed third with a 222, while Seeger won with a total of 205. Valerie Scott shaved 17 strokes from Monday's round to post a score of a 53. Ellen Wilborn shot a 55 and Josie Parent (above) shot a 58, a six-stroke improvement for both. Emmy Rees improved by one with a 57 and Meagan Schutter shot a 61. Courtney Smith carded a 62, a 13-stroke improvement in her first year playing.
