Greencastle Aquatic Center wrapping up 2010 season

GREENCASTLE -- With school now back in session, the days of the 2010 Greencastle Aquatic Center season are numbered. The Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department has released the schedule for the remainder of the season, including the season-ending "Soggy Doggy Day."

The pool will be open to humans, in some capacity, through Aug. 22. The remaining schedule is as follows:

* Today -- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. adult lap swim; 4-8 p.m. open swim.

* Saturday -- 11 a.m.-noon adult lap swim; noon-6 p.m. open swim.

* Sunday -- noon-6 p.m. open swim.

* Aug. 16-19 -- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. adult lap swim.

* Aug. 20 -- 11 a.m.-1 p.m. adult lap swim; 4-8 p.m. open swim.

* Aug. 21 -- 11 a.m.-noon adult lap swim; noon-6 p.m. open swim.

* Aug. 22 -- noon-8 p.m. open swim.

Aug. 24 will be "Soggy Doggy Day," a time dog owners can bring their best friends to enjoy the pool before it is drained. The event will include various contests and activities for owners and dogs alike.

Admission is $3 per dog.
