Marathon owner acquires Mini Mart

Wednesday, August 18, 2010
One local business owner has found a way to fill a need he's seen for some time. Bajwa, owner of the Marathon station on North Jackson Street, recently acquired the Mini Mart station, also on North Jackson. For some time, he's had customers at his station ask him about adding a diesel pump to the business. However, he has not had the capability at the Marathon. The addition of the new station has changed this. "People were asking for a long time, but I can't do it because I only have two tanks. (At Mini Mart), I have three tanks." As of Monday, the new pump was not up and running, but Bajwa hopes to have it going by Friday at the latest. "I did it as a community service to this side of town, so my customers don't have to go to the other side of town to get diesel," Bajwa said. Banner Graphic/JARED JERNAGAN
